About

Replay Games is a passion project — a home for your game collection, and a way to share it with the people around you. Here's the story behind it.

Why I built it

It started with a simple frustration. Money was tight, and buying a brand-new game I only wanted to play once felt wasteful — especially when someone nearby might already own it and be happy to lend it. Why buy when you could borrow? At the same time, I wanted one place to keep my game library and everything I'd lived through it: which games I'd finished, how long they took, how far I pushed toward 100%. After the hours I poured into — and suffered through — the Hollow Knight games to reach full completion, I wanted that memory recorded somewhere, not lost.

A bit about me

I'm a French senior developer — I build web and mobile apps for other people. I've kept every game and console I've owned since the 90s, so the collection is… a lot. I wanted an app to catalog it, track what I'm playing in detail, and lend and borrow with others. So I figured: why not build it myself?

My gaming journey

It began with the first Nintendo my cousins got for Christmas in the late 80s. I spent hours with them on the NES, then the Super Nintendo — Secret of Mana and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past have stayed with me ever since. My own first console was a Sega Mega Drive and from there I never really stopped: I played my way through every console that followed, right up until I started my professional career. Then life took over — from 2008 I was working and travelling, and didn't play for years. The Last of Us pulled me back in 2013. The game moved me. Then another ten-year pause. I picked the controller up again in 2023 with a Nintendo Switch — I'd heard far too much about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to keep resisting. The Switch is perfect for a dad with a young daughter: on and off in a second, a quick session before bed, or wherever you can grab five minutes.

Let's play together

What I'd love now is to share gaming more with the people around me — I just don't know many gamers nearby. That's really what Replay Games is for: catalog what you own, remember what you've played, and connect with players close to you so you can lend, borrow, and swap instead of always buying new. Privacy comes first, there are no ads, and it's free. If you're reading this, you're part of that. Add your collection — and if you spot something to improve, use the feedback link. I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
